This basket is from that era. They have been stored in darkness to preserve their colors. The palm fiber is called chunga and the dyes are all natural. The designs are fascinating. ARTISAN MADE: by Panamanian indigenous artisans using passed Basket weaving techniques that are rooted deep in Embera and Wounaan traditions. Created by hand,
