with a top made of 3/4" MDO plywood dadoed around all four sides to keep from sliding off

The spaces on the excluders are small enough for bees to travel back and forth from the Brood box to the Honey Supers but the queens is a little too large to fit through

We recommend using a screened inter-cover to keep the bee out of the top area

Northern White Pine is not naturally resistant to weathering so painting or staining is required. The main body of our TBH comes assembled using box joints and the top is also assembled creating a unique tapered effect enhancing the "curb appeal" of the hive.
