It is drawn from four parcels on the lower slopes of Chassagne Montrachet, vines averaging around thirty five years, on the clay and limestone that makes this village's whites so difficult to imitate anywhere else. New oak is kept to a minimum, roughly a fifth, and the wine finishes its education in tank, so the site does the talking rather than the barrel. This is white
