This lovely patient was thrilled with her beautiful result after laser treatment of oral melanotic macules. I share this case to educate: laser treatment requires accurate diagnosis, an understanding of the differential Labial melanotic macule Venous Lake of Lip and Lip Freckle Removal with Iridex Laser Spot the Dot! Growths on the lips are not too common. Clinically, this was consistent with a labial melanotic macule (aka freckle on the lip).
