The 50 weight cotton thread is made from long staple Egyptian Mako cotton. It is fine which is helpful in creating a very flat seam when machine piecing, For machine quilting it works great for back tracking and heavy background design work. Contains 5 spools (one spool of each color), each spool is 220 yards. Made in Italy by AURIfil.
