La Bergère Vintage painting Benoit-Lévy (1866–1952) was a FrenchA late 19th century large scale landscape on canvas depicting a shepherdess and her herd of cows drinking from a forest pond. Light plays a significant role in this work, starting with the stunning sky that opens the scene and gradually closes over the edge of the forest. The colors have been beautifully preserved thanks to the surface patina. The canvas shows signs of previous restoration, though it has a few losses, including a significant one of 0.
