Philippe Pacalet, Meursault Charmes Size:12x750ml The 2010 Château Margaux performed

The 2010 Château Margaux performed far better at this horizontal than at Farr's blind tasting a few days later

Early summer was marked by a succession of violent storms that raised concerns of vine health

A very pretty and ultra-fresh nose consists of various white orchard fruit and plenty of citrus and spice nuances

but with striking inner sweetness and depth

Hints of matchstick character and petrol add breadth to the white peach and citrus confit scented nose

Philippe Pacalet, Meursault Charmes Size:12x750ml The 2010 Château Margaux performed(from Charmes Dessus). There is a vaguely leesy character to the otherwise fresh aromas of citrus rind, floral, pear and a whisper of wood. There is excellent intensity to the delicious and nicely detailed flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the bone dry finish that is also a bit attenuated. This too is going to need at least a few years to unwind and better flesh out.
