Pegasus Lounge (Pittsburgh LGBTQ+ Club/1980-2012) Size:M street culturePegasus Lounge opened in June 1980 in the basement of the Baum Building on Liberty Avenue, quickly becoming Pittsburghs most visible gay club and a major cultural hub. Over nearly three decades, it evolved into a dynamic space with a cocktail lounge upstairs, a pulsing dance floor downstairs, regular drag shows, community fundraisers, and vital AIDS activismlike hosting early testing and outreach. In 2009, it moved to the North Side, and by 2012 the
