The first RE-100 and 200 machines made had a different tape transport using the (now almost impossible to find) Sony endless tape

and increasing the stereo or quad depth of a mono signal

And they were built with quality in mind

With a bit of experimentation

It's got a few minor cosmetic issues - see photos below for details - but overall looks the absolute business
