Prior to leaving the lake I checked out some other areas and found some tall grasses backlit blowing in the wind

Now that the windows are in the hotel I have noticed the nice reflection the hotel provides of the "peaks" of the airport

I had my longer lens on the camera and starting playing with a narrow depth of focus on the handles creating this image

With cold temperatures and overcast skies I went looking for an image leading me up Lookout Mountain from Golden

Clear Creek Canyon at Night Size:11"x14" including the City and CountyI headed up Clear Creek Canyon with a friend who is familiar with the area from his many trips here fishing. As we stopped at a parking area in the dark we climbed up higher to get a perspective over the road. Highway 6 can be busy with traffic heading to the casinos and other mountain locations west of Golden. However at times you can also find a lone car as in this image.
