It exhibits a deep ruby/purple hue in addition to abundant aromas of smoky oak

Once again the mouthfeel of the medium-bodied flavors is quite sleek if not necessarily more complex on the sappy

There is very good richness and volume to the sleekly muscular middle weight flavors that possess just enough minerality to notice

The finish is utterly mouth coating and the aromas of this wine stayed in mind for a month

The palate impression is impressively rich with excellent volume along with plenty of the hallmark minerality suffusing the sleek

Joseph Phelps Cabernet Sauvignon Eisele Vineyard 1985 Rheinhessen It exhibits a deep ruby/purpleThe backward 1985 Eisele Vineyard is marvelously concentrated, but extremely tannic and at least 5 10 years away from full maturity. Impressively endowed, well focused, dense, powerful, thick, and tannic, this wine leaves little doubt that the extract, ripeness, and quantity of fruit are more than sufficient to balance out the wine's tannic ferocity.
