These bears were only made for a short period of time around 1907

We call this handsome bear "Sergeant Culver" as he resembles a similar bear who is depicted as the mascot from 1914 of the Culver Military Academy in Logansport

I say identical but they definitely have their own characters. My daughter has named them Bernard and Howard, they each measure 28 inches long are made from mohair and have their original plastic safety eyes backed with felt. They are soft stuffed, most likely with sub stuffing and amazingly they have both held onto their Deans labels.
