A Straunge & Terrible Wunder - reproduction Black Shuck Woodcut of 1577 countryside here is my death's HeadIn 1577 a pamphlet was produced telling of a terrible phantom hound who burst into a church in Norfolk, killing parishioners and leaving fiery claw marks gouged into the church door thst can still be seen to this day. The pamphlet known as A Straunge & Terrible Wunder was a sensation and its fame has lasted to this day, as have some preserved copies of the print itself. what has not been preserved is the fantastic hand carved wooden print block that
