Autumn Memories string I love the delicate flowers

I love the delicate flowers hiding in the background like memories from past garden seasons

Even the kids seemed alien as they clustered together into cliques by some unknown method

Turning in circles until I'm so dizzy that I fall down

The seeds exploded outward when I pressed the pods under glass during printing

But that's where the magic happened

Autumn Memories string I love the delicate flowersMixed media (acrylic, paper, and ink) 20" x 20" on cradled birch panel Autumn Memories, a 1970s retro style geometric art painting in avocado green, harvest gold, and burnt orange. The colors remind me of my kitchen growing up in California. Doesn't it make you want to go out into the crisp fall air and jump into a big pile of leaves? Or play touch football in the front yard before the big Thanksgiving feast?
