The Chicago Sting soccer team played a few indoor matches there in 1976 hosting the North American Soccer League's indoor tournament that year

They stayed through  the1965 season

and at the height of their popularity

Baseball Hall of Famer Mule Suttles was their star player

The baseball team moved to a new stadium in 1992
