In His Honor – Louis Emile Adan – Beautiful Catholic Art – Archival Quality Print Choose Paper Size (Image is Smaller):5x7 Brown Desk Frame Canonized in 1935Delicate and Serene, this picture of two nuns arranging flowers for the altar makes me wish I was there doing it with them. The painting is called "In His Honor," and the painter was Louis Emile Adan (18391937). Aden painted lovely, tranquil scenes of people in rural life and other "genre" paintings, including some religious ones, of which we have another in the shop. He painted at least two versions of this painting; we think this is the better one.
