Polished Septarian Sculpture crystal pyramid Pyrite is an iron sulfideCrystal filled Septanian Nodule from Utah. Septarian is derived from the Latin work septem meaning seven. These nodules were formed 50 70 million years ago in Utah. Mud balls which created this mineral cracked with seven points in every direction creating the crackle pattern.
