These plates are thinner so that you can achieve one more plate in your stack. Then you can use softer springs for a lighter clutch at the hand lever but plenty of grab for the rear wheel. I have installed and ran these are they work good with Barnett springs 501 86 03075 which are listed in our store. These are the correct plates for Triumph 650 750 twins, 350 and BSA 500 and 650 twins
