this beautiful and rare bottle would have contained a fine first vintage armagnac matured in the oak black Gascony reserve of Count Henry of Peyrouse (mansion living saint) which is a very old brand claiming roots back to 1559

to prove his point Van Meegeren painted a 'Vermeer' from his jail cell

the wall light does have some hairline cracks and areas of loss to the paintwork making it decorative

though caution would be advised

and now with a beautiful patination
