This rust frame is made from a sturdy 100% wool felt that is sewn and decorated with a vintage orange button from the 1950s

The front has a metal picture button and the back with a small green glass button

This button is from the late 20th century when women's fashion included buttons on their garments. The colours found in the button inspire my wool fleece choices. Here this star carved shell with a steel center facet, is held in place by an inner brass fancy rim which is housed in a steel cut rim. Circa 1890s. To create this brooch I work with coloured carded
