An Imposing Large Pair of 16thC Style Cast Stone Seated Dogs sub-Macabre- Medicine beautifully made and as relevantOrigin: English Period: Mid Late 20thC Provenance: Unknown Date: c. 1960 80 Width: 10 Height: 40 Depth: 25 (each & approximate) The large and imposing pair of cast stone opposing dogs or hounds, of unusual form and copied from a medieval design, each with open mouths and lolling tongues, their expressions somewhat crazed, with large collars and looped chains, seated alert, and surviving from the middle to later part of the twentieth century. The
