Gokou is an unregistered tea cultivar from Kyoto Prefecture which is mainly used to make gyokuro or tencha. It is a cultivar that works very well with shaded cultivation methods and so it is uncommon to find a gokou sencha. This gyokoro gokou from Uejima san has a notable aroma and rich, creamy umami.
