Brass Chain And Fishing Lure Lariat Necklace Festival This wonderfully detailed marcasite heron

This wonderfully detailed marcasite heron was a perfect little upscaled brooch project

There was tons of potential to make some interesting things

When I came across this fabulous Victorian cut steel crown it was missing a pin

We have enjoyed collaborating with talented illustrator and ceramicist Joy Nevada on some small beasties which we have made into quirky drop earrings

Two old clay pipe segments - the larger made in Gateshead and the smaller piece from Berwick upon Tweed in the north of England are the centerpieces to this smokin’ hot necklace

Brass Chain And Fishing Lure Lariat Necklace Festival This wonderfully detailed marcasite heronA tin of vintage fishing lures has been a wonderful and unexpected find recently and it has given me lots of ideas for interesting necklaces. This piece consists of a lovely secondhand brass chain with a fish at either end and which you simply tie in place to the required length. Looks super on its own or layer up with other pieces from our fishy collection.
